Karlovic finds his way to Ricoh Open semi-final

Ivo Karlovic (ATP-28) has earned his way to a place in the final four in Rosmalen. The third seed had a businesslike 6-3, 6-4 victory over Adrian Mannarino (ATP-55), which included an impressive 22 aces.

Karlovic had some trouble initially during first two service games, but dealt with three break chances. Between those games he was able to break Mannarino with a few very nicely placed volleys.

At 5-2 the serving machine already had the chance to win the set on the service of the Frenchman, but Mannarino rRecouped the game. One game later Karlovic served the set out on love.

In the second set the Croatian had no more problems whatsoever and scored the decisive break in the fifth game. Karlovic lost only one point on his serve in this second set.

Karlovic will, in his second semi-final of the year after the ATP 250 tournament in Istanbul, meet either top seed David Ferrer (ATP-14) from Spain, or seventh seed Gilles Muller (ATP-44) from Luxembourg in the semis.
