Former champion Griekspoor returns to Libéma Open

‘Winning the title on home soil was a dream’, were the words of Tallon Griekspoor when he won the Libéma Open in 2023. The Netherlands’ top player will once again be present this year from June 6–14 at the Autotron in ’s-Hertogenbosch, aiming for new success.
Richard Krajicek (1994, 1997) and Sjeng Schalken (2002, 2003) are the only Dutch players to have won the international grass-court tournament multiple times. If the 29-year-old Griekspoor, who enjoys playing on grass, manages to secure a second tournament victory, he will become the third Dutchman in history to do so.
Griekspoor has been part of the world’s top 30 for several years. He achieved a career-high ranking of 21 in 2023 and aims to climb even higher in the rankings. Earlier this year, he reached the final of the ATP 500-tournament in Dubai.
The winner of three ATP titles (Pune 2023, Libéma Open 2023, and Mallorca 2025) will be participating for the fifth time. Last year, he had to withdraw due to injury. Griekspoor has a positive win-loss record of 9–3 on the grass courts of Brabant.
In addition to Griekspoor, world-class player Daniil Medvedev will also attend the Libéma Open. Belgian finalist Zizou Bergs will be competing as well this year.
More players will be announced in the coming period.
