Kamil Majchrzak caused a stunning upset by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets. The Pole won the quarterfinal match 6-4, 6-3.
It was the first time the player from Piotrkow Trybunalski and the Canadian met at ATP level. In his third quarterfinal of 2026, the 30-year-old Majchrzak convincingly worked his way to victory.
The current world number 76 is close to his career-high ranking of 53, which he reached earlier this year in March.
His opponent in the semifinals will come from the match between Daniil Medvedev, who escaped against Thijs Boogaard, and the Croatian service ace Marin Cilic.
